Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh launches revamped Mission Tandrust Punjab

Sangrur, June 5:

With an aim to connect the people of the state with revamped Mission Tandarust Punjab and create a pollution free environment, Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh addressed a virtual program on the occasion of World Environment Day.  The Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh said that the state government was making all efforts to provide potable drinking water and clean environment to the people of the state so that they could lead a healthy life.
Earlier, the Local Bodies Minister Mr. Brahm Mahindra apprised the gathering about the work being done by the department for the development of cities.  Health Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu also shared the efforts of the government to prevent adulteration.  Water Supply Minister Ms. Razia Sultana informed about the work done for the proper supply of drinking water.  Sports Minister Mr. Gurmeet Singh Rana Sodhi informed about the activities of Sports Department.
During the program Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Mr. Ramvir said that people need to take care of their surroundings by planting as many plants as possible for fresh and clean air.  He called upon every citizen to work together for the protection of the environment.  He said that the farmers should make their valuable contribution in Mission Tandrust Punjab by not burning the straw during the paddy harvest season.  He said that it was the moral responsibility of all of us to provide a clean environment to our future generations.
